Once you have created your schedule you can allocate resources and assign hours to tasks. WorkBook will look at the dates the resource is required, the standard available hours, and the number of hours already booked. It will calculate whether there is enough capacity for the booking and indicate in red any hours that are not able to be booked for the period.

## RESOURCE ALLOCATION NAVIGATION
Assigning resources is done from within the schedule using the resource panel.

| **1** | The **further options menu** in the resource panel allows you to:
- Add a resource
- Add a team
- View the team resources
- View the manual bookings date grid
- View the task capacity settings
- View the job team settings |
| **2** | **Resource tabs** allow you to view the resources the following ways:
- List view
- Matrix view
- Calendar view
- Timeline view |
| **3** | You can add resources to the task via the **add resource** **button** or by typing the resource’s handle in the **resource field** |
| **4** | You can set the **task start date** and **duration** (in days) here |
| **5** | This **menu** allows you to:
- Insert a row
- Delete selected rows
- Select favourite views
- Select Global views
- Modify Grid
- Export grid data
- View grid shortcuts |
| **6** | Check box** **to **mark task as done** |
| **7** | View or add **resources** in this field |
| **8** | View or add **number of hours** for task |
| **9** | View the number of **used hours** and **time remaining **on a task, per resource |
| **10** | View a resource’s **basic time**, **capacity** and **available time** |
| **11** | **Sales value** of the resource booking |
